"Rally for Roma"

Building Bridges

As a teacher Roxy Cirticioiu has been building relationship bridges at the Point of Hope Development Center for 2 years. Her desire to help at-risk children stems from her days in college working with disabled children. Roxy is a beautiful young lady with a great heart for helping.

Knowing Your Role

Some people we have talked with ask us why we are giving money to Romanian orphans when we have many in the U.S. We reply that we do help the poor in the U.S. but there are needs all over the world. God knows we can't give to everyone, but we feel He wants us to help the orphans in Romania.

Teaching Greatness

Eniko Triff is the Acting Director at the Point of Hope. She was born and raised in Tarnaveni, Romania. She comes from a family of 4 girls plus two foster children. Eni has wanted to be a teacher from an early age, and was the first teacher hired by Fundatia Buckner in 2007, so she has been there the longest.

A Passionate Family

Hope Arrives in Romania!

Leanne explained that two years ago when the Hope Mission Team visited Point of Hope, the third floor was in need of renovations so that more Roma children could be included in their programs. They made a commitment to help finish one of the classrooms and generously sent funds so the renovations could begin.

One Success at a Time

When Cami was first registered to Daycare she was shy. Her social skills were lacking, but she grew, adjusted and became more sociable. If you ask her what Point of Hope did for her, she would say that the staff taught her to speak politely, to behave and to be self-confident. And she is acting on it in a big way!
