Our History
Another Child Foundation became a 501 (c) 3 organization in 2010 by founders Mr. Tim Oloffson and Mr. John Frank Reeve. However, ACF has roots to Romania which date back to 2001 when Mr. Reeve performed summer camps for orphans through Buckner Romania in 2001 and Mr. Oloffson back in 2006. Our Mission
Another Child Foundation’s mission is to reach, teach, and transform the lives of orphaned and at-risk children in Romania. The educating and transformation of children and their families is the top priority in Romania. The impact ACF will have in US communities is the life-changing experiences of those who travel with ACF. The mission trip experience can be a catalyst for people to return home and be a spark that will transform their community.
Our Results
The measurement of the effect Another Child Foundation is having on Romania and our community is important. ACF has developed the Point of Hope Development Center into a respected “light” in the Romanian community of Tarnaveni. Gypsy children who attend the Point of Hope are now ahead of their Romanian friends as they enter the public schools. Teachers have asked us the secret to reaching the Gypsy children because they have had no positive results in the past. Additionally, drop-out rates of the Gypsy children have fallen dramatically since they began attending Point of Hope in 2007. The Buckner Group Home has also transformed the lives of young girls. Taking them out of the institutional living of an orphanage and into a family atmosphere has made a significant change to their outlook on life and their self-esteem. The girls have made new friends and now understand the value of education. The girls are also progressing in their spiritual life by attending church.
Our Vision
The immediate future of Another Child Foundation resides in our ministry to the Gypsy families in Tarnaveni. Currently ACF utilizes only 60% of the Point of Hope building. By transforming the empty areas into classrooms and educational centers for families, the impact our ministry can have in the community will multiply immeasurably. The orphan ministry’s future resides in building a new and permanent home for all of the orphans we serve. The designing and building of a new home specifically to meet the needs of the family structure is an important piece to transforming the lives of more abandoned children.
Our Supporters
Our financial partners are particularly important to the future of Another Child Foundation. By helping supporters see the IMPACT their support can have on children and families without a voice, we can help them leave a legacy on the life of a child. By becoming financial partners in the Group Home or the Point of Hope Development Center supporters can know in their hearts that 92% of their support goes directly to the programs in Romania. ACF also understands the importance of being a good steward of the funds entrusted to us and works continually to improve the efficiency of the organization so that all funds are used effectively.
